Mixtapes and Dial Tones exists because I missed the old web and I wanted to create something that was really mine. In depth. Little fixations. Moments ... but not to feed an algorithm, to connect with others genuinely. I'm sick of the attention parade of social media, where people feel comfortable being openly horrible to eachother for engagement. Coded in HTML, CSS, and a bit of JavaScript to hold all of it together like dollarstore glue lol. Hosted on Neocities. Fonts are basic? Arial and Courier. Images were mostly edited in GIMP. I coded what I could myself but full disclosure I browsed other people's source when I hit a wall to figure out how to accomplish certain things.
